The Artevo Series begins with a person. Paint is applied directly to the body over several hours, captured through photography, and composed digitally into a final work. The process moves through the physical and arrives somewhere else entirely.

The human body is extraordinary. It is capable of more than most people ever discover. The Artevo works begin with that recognition and then ask the question the body itself cannot answer: what is living inside this?

We are associated with our bodies the way we are associated with our most prized possessions. They carry us. They reflect how we move through the world. They are capable of astonishing things. But they cannot give us what we are most deeply looking for.
